Hello!

My name is Dana Schultz, formally Dana Ries, and I am the new school social worker/counselor at St. Germaine School. I graduated from Wayne State University in 2018 with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Prior to obtaining this position, I was an outpatient therapist at Macomb County Community Mental Health where I worked with children, adolescents, and adults who struggled with various mental health disorders. I am very excited to be back at St. Germaine as I was a student from Preschool – 8th grade. I used to coach varsity soccer here for many years alongside my sister, Mrs. Elwart, who is the current Kindergarten teacher. I have also worked as an aid in the SACC program too! I recently got married on November 5th, 2022 and I am enjoying married life with my husband, Karl and our dog, Leyland. I am truly blessed to be back at St. Germaine as this school has been a huge part of my life. I cannot wait to work with the incredible students, families, and faculty members moving forward!
