The St. Germaine Dance Company began in 2003 and consisted of 9 dancers. The founder, Susie Taylor, who is the Artistic Director and Choreographer, wanted to help provide fine arts for the St. Germaine School children and parish members in the form of prayerful dance interpretation.
Since 2003 the company has grown to over 80 performers. Both dancers and actors alike get together each Saturday morning from January through April in the spirit of prayer to put on a prayerful production for the community.
A message from Mrs. Taylor...
We have to postpone Madagascar. Apparently it will be at the Fox Theatre so we will scrap our plans at this time.
The publishing company is going to let me secure a different play but we will not be able to do the play when it was originally scheduled. I'm very disappointed about this but there is nothing I can do.
If you would kindly forward this email to the grades 5 - 8 so that they understand what has happened. I've received so many inquiries about the play and I want to make sure that they understand this is out of our control but we will actively look for another show to do in the near future.
