I think it's safe to say that everyone has been affected, most negatively, in some way, by the Coronavirus pandemic. St. Germaine Catholic School, supported by Our Lady of Hope parish, was no exception. Our in-person school year ended on March 12, 2020. By March 23, we were back up and running with remote instruction. Our teaching staff poured their hearts and souls into instruction, caring for our students while apart and making every attempt to make things seem "normal." Teachers, staff and students completed their curriculum, they prayed together, they laughed, they connected and helped each other get through a very difficult time.
During our closure we were forced to cancel so many events--graduations, end-of- year activities, traditional ceremonies, and we were also unable to host our new student recruitment season and valuable fundraising events. Our only income is tuition, fundraising and support of our parish, Our Lady of Hope. All of these sources of income are necessary for us to remain financially sound and continue our good work.
All of our Catholic schools are so very important to the families they serve.
St. Germaine School has been providing excellence in Catholic education since 1964. Generations of families have been students here and we intend to continue serving future generations! If you experienced a Catholic education yourself, or maybe your child did, you know how important it is and what a positive impact it made.
Right now, we need your help and support. To make up for lost income due to this pandemic, in addition to all the additional expenses necessary to safely reopen on August 31, I ask you to please consider a donation to assist us in reaching our goal. Any amount over our goal will be used for tuition assistance for our current families. No donation is too small and all donations are tax deductible. Any and all donations will be acknowledged on this page, on our school website, in our parish bulletin and any donation of $1,000 or more will also be acknowledged on our "Tree of Remembrance" located in our church vestibule.

Mrs. Laureen Krausman won a $500 Grant from Scholastic! It is a credit to her account and she is able to use it to obtain new items (since so many had to be away this year!) for her preschool classroom that can be quickly and easily disinfected in between use.
